Now we see images of John Biggs outside the East London Mosque. People getting worked up about Trump’s comments. A shame they don’t come out more against ISIS in this way.
The East London Mosque, funded by Saudi Arabia, is run by an extremist organisation called the Islamic Forum of Europe. They aim for the creation of a one world caliphate under the sharia. They were founded out of the political party Jamaat-e-Islami, who are now banned in Bangladesh. This group also opposed the very creation of Bangladesh. The East London Mosque has also hosted such characters as Anwar al-Awlaki, spiritual leader to the 911 hijackers. Several serving Tower Hamlets First councillors are IFE members. In 2010 Cllr. Abjol Miah enlisted the support of the IFE in creating the petition to force a referendum on creating a Mayoral model of government in Tower Hamlets. The IFE gave extensive support to Lutfur Rahman in his bid to become Mayor in 2010. In return he gave substantial grants of council money to the East London Mosque and its many front organisations as Mayor.
John Biggs would be well advised to stay well away.
