Islington Labour

This is the kind of dumb MP that Islington Labour has to offer. Tower Hamlets is a lot better. I like her views but they are distorted .

Google Plus now public

Google Plus is now open to the public but do many people want to join ?

In this day and age

I am surprised that this kind of thing could go in this day and age. First of all she is too young to get married and she should have gone to school. Tower Hamlets have failed her .

Moaning universities

Those universities are only good for moaning. It seems to be reasonable the proposals by the government. It could be that a lot of managers are worried that people may not want to pay the outrageous fees they are charging for substandard courses .

Not very liberal

I am shocked as I always thought that New Zealand was a very liberal country but some man dont' want to donate to single women or lesbians .

Commercial developments

If you go around London and in Tower Hamlets you can see a lot of commercial developments. The big question is how many are going to be empty? How many are going to be converted into flats?

Chris Huhne speech

Huhne does raise some valuable points. I can't stand the man . Just like his ex wife.

Brick Lane is not the only part of Tower Hamlets that need cleaning up .

Tuition fee backpedal

I must have missed this backpedal or maybe this is something not that important. Anyway as I have discussed earlier the damage has been done .

Private schools under threat

This has been a long held socialist dream but if you were to read the article carefully rather than the headline it says that admissions in the South East are up 0.5%. A former Westminster head said that even in the 1980's some people could not afford the fees .

I was a admirer of his once but not anymore. His editor put up a pathetic defense on Newsnight last night. He is a Tower Hamlets resident who according to some people just said the obvious.

More strikes

According to the Cabinet Office Minister Francis Muade during the last strike some services improved on BBC News last night at 17:00 hours or so. I say go for it .

Tower Hamlets hiring policy

It seems that Tower Hamlets have got something called a people board. I have asked for information on it. Le'ts see how far I get .

Transparent Tower hamlets

It is good to see that Tower Hamlets is continuing to be transparent by not web casting council meetings. God forbid people may want to see democracy in action .

Beyond gutter politics

This whole thing in Tower Hamlets has gone beyond petty and the elected mayor is acting mean with the ceremonial mayor. This is making Tower Hamlets into a even bigger joke .

Universities cutting fees

The Australian has got a extraordinary story if true. Though it fails in one respect that some private colleges for example the one by Gayling (discussed earlier), Regents College and Richmond charge more than that.

Grayling reacts

This is a reaction from A.C. Grayling to the critics of his new college. He does have a number of valid points and he is trying to protect the humanities .

Skills match FOI

I have made a FOI request to Tower Hamlets in regards to Skills match . They spell it as one word

London School of Philosophy

Good to see people saving subjects like philosophy which are important. I have nothing against private colleges so long as they offer quality.

Solaraid gift

Solaraid is getting a gift from Solar Century for solar projects in Africa.

Future Muslim groups in Brtain

It is reflecting on things like the far right. I have no idea about the publisher or anything except that in my view this is one of those things which comes just because a few minor things have happened. In Tower Hamlets there were the black shirts in Cable Street and we still had Jews afterwards .

This article from the Morning Star implies that there was an anti Nazi victory. The reality is different in Tower Hamlets .

Thugs attack EDL

As much as I am not a supporter of the EDL I don't think that it helps when local people in Mile End decide to attack them. I have always been a supporter of their right to protest . The police should arrest and prosecute all involved and seek the strongest penalty for what they have done.

Abortion counselling

The whole thing has made me as a pro choice liberal uneasy. The best way to avoid a lot of abortions is birth control. It is good to see that the amendment will fail and the right should remember we are not the United States when it comes to abortions. As for the figure banded around abortions will be cut by 60,000 which is not mentioned in this article that figure was plucked out of the air .

EDL protest your verdict

The Guardian has done an interesting thing on it. I was outside and a lot of the streets of Tower Hamlets were closed in the Whitechapel and Liverpool Street area. I did meet a cute policewoman though . I support their right to protest.
