Does anyone know why Tower Hamlets Social Services is good? I don't know as the service is very low.

I don't think there will be much news around so I thought I would post comments. What gets me is that the people who work at Tower Hamlets Council expect support when they go on strike. I have no intention of supporting them and they should be grateful they have a labour government and council and they support the labour party. They cannot have their cake and eat it. They failed to achieve very much in the last strike and they have not held one since. Maybe their Unison can't be bothered to tell their members to go on strike. I have a new slogan for Unison. "Join us if you believe you are doing a good job but are in reality lazy and dishonest and stupid"

It is good to know that Tower Hamlets is committed to equalities after all they collect data on it and they are so keen on things like the racial make up of Tower Hamlets. I have been told by sources that one of the reasons why they collect that information is so that if a councilor asks officers then they could show how many ethnic minority members of staff a organisation that has received grants can show and they are not interested in things like the staff background. I as a disabled person have been repeatedly discriminated by Tower Hamlets council but then that does not count or the fact you can get material in community languages but not in an alternative format.

It has been announced that Tower Hamlets 2 MPs will be fighting each other in the Poplar and Limehouse seat. I have been told by a source that Labour Party including Jim Fitzpatrick and fomer Tower Hamlets leader and Professor of Sociology were shamed up as they could not get the seat back from respect. Though they have got a councilor to change parties as he has no respect for himself so he left Respect to join Labour. I suggested a by election but Clir Islam has not got back to me. I wonder how much the council and it's associated agencies including the PCT waste on propaganda? Why doesn't Tower Hamlets Council do the things it says it is going to do in East and Life and the website? I can tell you the workers are in a large number of cases not very helpful and they usually come up with the same excause "we don't have resources". They can pay senior managers a lot for doing god knows what. The trade unions in Tower Hamlets expect support for their strike action. I would not support the dishonest members of Unison in Tower Hamlets. They even tried to get someone not connected with the council to refuse to go to work which is illegal under the law. Then again they are only council employees.

It's me again I thought I would never post twice on the same day but I could not leave without making a comment about social services. Tower Hamles social services are not good and they lack any understanding of what users want but then they got 3 stars which means they are good. Who am I to argue with people who know everything?

Dear reader once I asked for the council to fix the bad pavement slab in Whitehorse Road but they fixed Whitehorse Lane but have not fixed the offending slab even though I emailed them again. I have also heard of a lady who tripped on a pavement close to her house and got compensation. Dear reader surely they should use the money to fix the pavements.
