Tower Hamlets voter fraud campaigner Andy Erlam has announced that he is suing the Met police.

The legal action is about an attempted arrest of Mr. Erlam that took place in a “dawn raid” on his Bow house days before the landmark election court case opened.  The case ended with Lutfur Rahman being banned from office.

Mr.Erlam says that many months of correspondence by his solicitor has produced no transparency from the police, who have admitted that they had no evidence against him.

“The only way to put effective pressure on the police and if necessary, demand explanations from the Met in court.”
