Rahman letters

Letters from Rahman to the BBC about Tower Hamlets make interesting reading.

Disgraceful politics

The politics of Tower Hamlets with the exception of the Conservative group is a disgrace. They are more concerned with Gaza something which the council has no control over and they ignore local issues. Tower Hamlets politics is beyond a joke. There are good people living here but this kind of thing does not help.

Palestine flag over Tower Hamlets

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the issues the Mayor of Tower Hamlets should not be doing this. First of all foreign policy is none of his business. This is a cynical attempt to sure up his electorate.

No point in lobbying

There is no point in lobbying Tower Hamlets as those policies have nothing to do with Tower Hamlets Council.

Floating village

Even Dave Hill of the Guardian thinks this is a good idea. Personally I think that the Mayor of Newham should embrace change like they have in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.

It is beyond belief that the Mayor of Tower Hamlets should support strikers. He has a duty to provide services not to support the people who are not providing it.

Disgraceful behaviour

It's disgraceful that this should happen in Brick Lane. Tower Hamlets has a art scene. Those people are setting back the progress of Tower Hamlets. To be honest I am not surprised by the backwardness of the Mosque.

Rahman may rejoin Labour

This shows a number of things about Labour Party and Tower Hamlets.
1. Labour are desperate to win at all costs.
2. People like Joshua Peck and Biggs are made to look like fools.
3. Ken Livingstone still matters.
4. Labour is asking for trouble nationally.

Thousands lining the streets

Thousands of people are lining the streets of Tower Hamlets and Hackney and in the case of Tower Hamlets it has nothing to do with election violence.

Tour de France coming

Tour de France is coming to London tomorrow. Tower Hamlets are collecting rubbish at different time. They sent the letter to everyone even people not effected at the very last minute. Well done Tower Hamlets. Let's hope there are no accidents on the roads.

It was a sad day for the Conservative Party only winning 1 seat out of 3 but remember that before 2004 they had no seats in Tower Hamlets. Once the Liberal Democrats were the main party. Politics is strange.

Judicial reveiw PwC

It seems that the Mayor of Tower Hamlets has decided to use public money for a judicial review over the investigation by PwC into Tower Hamlets. What a waste of money.

Speak English

Everyone who is either a member or an officer of Tower Hamlets should speak English. It is a disgrace that people speak Bengali in council meetings. I have seen staff speak Bengali to each other in front of me in council offices. Utter disgrace.
