Beyond a joke
I know that Tower Hamlets Council takes the piss with residents and anyone else who has the nerve to ask for information. However this is a new low for Tower Hamlets to not pass on information to government appointed auditors. We the taxpayers of Tower Hamlets are paying for this.

Islamist group banned
This Islamist group with links to Brick Lane has been banned by the Home Secretary. This is good news for the people of Tower Hamlets. If people in Tower Hamlets want to drink it is their business and not the Islamist's.
Hill on TH elections
Dave Hill has an interesting article on the elections in Tower Hamlets. There is a lot he leaves out. He seems to be biased in one way. As I have said I am a follower of Andrew Gilligan when it comes to Tower Hamlets.

Whitechapel move
I have put in a FOI to Tower Hamlets Council about the possible move of the council headquarters to Whitechapel.
Atheist sent to mental hospital
I would give this man a medal not lock him up. His family are stupid people.

When they come back they hopefully wont vote Tower Hamlets First like their parents.

It is good to see that Mayor Rahman of Tower Hamlets condemns homophobic attacks. Peter Golds get's abused at council meetings.

Johnson on Tower Hamlets
Boris Johnson Mayor of London has mentioned Tower Hamlets on LBC briefly. It is interesting and a lot of people clapped when he said that.

Hate crime Whitechapel
As a resident of Tower Hamlets I am disgusted by the attack on this gay couple in Whitechapel.

Union strikes
In Tower Hamlets we only knew once there was a strike on as the bins were not collected. Also the libraries stay open during strikes.

Election arrest
It seems that the problems for the Mayor of Tower Hamlets and his supporters have not gone away. It has been over a month now since the election. I like what Andy Erlam said at the end of the article. Also there is allegations involving a council officer who is a senior member of IFE.
There are many people in Tower Hamlets who still question the election.
There are many people in Tower Hamlets who still question the election.

Exeter and Tower Hamlets
This is a old story about Exeter University and Tower Hamlets but it is worth reading as it has an impact on today to some extent.

Floud on education
He never said those things when he was the VC and Provost of London Metropolitan University. What a fool.
ELL on Telegraph article
East London Lines has a story discussing what the Sunday Telegraph has said about Tower Hamlets and the electoral process.

Dave Hill on Tower hamlets election petition
Dave Hill misses the point about Tower Hamlets. His articles are not really worth reading for any insightful comments. I prefer Andrew Gilligan.

ELA on petition
The East London Advertiser has a story on the Tower Hamlets election petition. It is a bit late as it did not cover it when it was first started.
Guardian on election petition
Even the Mayor's friends at the Guardian are now covering the election petition in Tower Hamlets. It is not as good as the coverage in the Telegraph though.

Declare election void
I hope that the court does declare that the election in Tower Hamlets is void. We need a new election.

Right on Andrew Wood
Andrew Wood is one of the reasons why I am glad I voted Conservative. Wood is standing up for media freedom in Tower Hamlets. His views on Tower Hamlets Council are right. He will be a great addition to the Conservative Party.

Trojan Horse London
There is mention of Tower Hamlets in this article. It appears that the officers at Tower Hamlets did the right thing by telling the government.

Bogus candidates in Tower Hamlets
The politics of Tower Hamlets get odder everyday. As a resident even I am shocked by what Andrew Gilligan has exposed in Tower Hamlets. The Telegraph has done a wonderful job.
Election petition
I have tried to find a copy of it but I can't find it. It is not even been covered in the local papers which is amazing for Tower Hamlets.

Fisk on Iraq conflict
Robert Fisk is one of the most knowledgeable people on the Middle East and his views on the suitation in Iraq are worth listening to. I have for many years said that Saudi Arabia is a danger. At the moment it is a religious war fought by the Saudi's on one side and Iran on the other side.
Democracy Tower Hamlets style
Reading this document you can see how democratic and transparent Tower Hamlets is.

Saudi atheism
This is great news for the atheist movement. It shows that atheism is not just a western concept. Even in Tower Hamlets a lot of people who are not religious go through the motions of been religious or are too stupid to understand religion.
Jeory and the spin doctor
I got an email from Takki which I have forwarded to Mark Baynes at Love Wapping and I still have. I felt sorry for him for a few seconds than I realised the kind of abuse that people like Peter Golds get. Tower Hamlets Council has a Communications Director who seems to be making the news than controlling it. Many spin doctors have resigned for less.

Tower Hamlets taking action
Tower Hamlets always take action on electoral fraud but it does not do any good.

Interesting article
I don't know much about the source but the article it discusses is from the Evening Standard and it seems to be accurate of what Fitzpatrick is saying about Tower Hamlets Labour.

Political Trojan Horse
Jim Fitzpatrick is right in my view about what he says about Tower Hamlets. We need to keep an eye on it. Remember he challenged the local mosque and still won.
Tower Hamlets apprenticeships
This looks interesting. The article has a link which is slightly wrong. When I went to the Swan homepage I could not find much information except that it is London wide apprenticeships and not just Tower Hamlets.

Right Greens
Everything that the Green Party candidate for the Mayor of Tower Hamlets Chris Smith says is right. Tower Hamlets is a laughing stock and also the people who run the council are not up to running it.

London Government Act 1963
It is well worth a read. I would have lived in Stepney before Tower Hamlets was created. Check out boroughs under number 5.
Firefighters strike
Whilst the firefighters are on strike Tower Hamlets suffers like the rest of the country.

It is good to see that Jim Fitzpatrick is raising the question about the fair and free elections in Tower Hamlets.

Court election petition
Thank you very much Ted for posting this. We need to overturn the results of the Tower Hamlets election. It is good that Andy is taking a stand.
What crisis?
Love Wapping also known as Mark Baynes has a very interesting article on the election results and how it is viewed by Tower Hamlets Council's in house newspaper.

Fair and balanced
It's good to see that not all Bengali news sources have been taken over by the Tower Hamlets media machine.

Whitechapel death
It seems that the Whitechapel death is a tragedy. Whitechapel is a horrible place in Tower Hamlets.
Gilligan on Guardian
Andrew Gilligan has taken the Guardian to task about what they wrote about the Mayor of Tower Hamlets.

Foreign perspective
This is the perspective from Bangladesh on what happened in Tower Hamlets. Not a single comment though.
Tower Hamlets elections
It's been over a week since the elections and the stories about Tower Hamlets and it's elections have not gone. Something must be done about Tower Hamlets. Also count staff seem to imply that they have voted for the Mayor.
